The use of the energy (motion) of various materials and focused thought (combinations of prayer or meditation) is the source of some of the most profound facilitation of healing modalities.  How do stones, crystals and "energy work" help in the facilitation of profound healing work?  One way to describe the influences begins in the Chakra system.  Chakra is the Sanskrit word for circular motion, or wheel.
 
Traditionally there are 7 primary Chakras (and dozens of minor ones) of the human body which are also closely related to the meridians of Chinese Energetic Accupressure, as well as the ancient "knowing" of many other cultures.  The Chakras are spherical energy centers, and usually to the average person, invisible to the human eye.  The Chakras balance is always in flux, the Kundalini energy (spiritual energy that usually for most, lies dormant at the base of the spine, and sometimes referred to as life creation energy) and awareness rises, releases its energy and consciously connects us with a much higher power, greater than our own self.  Then the Kundalini recycles to be transformed in the cycle of life to forms visible and invisible to our own human senses.
 
When there are disruptive events, whether physical or emotional in nature, affecting the Chakras, the persons physical, emotional, mental and/or spiritual bodies are unable to allow the Kundalini  energy too fully and easily flow thru them.  Their presence in the moment, spiritual, mental, emotional and physical functioning, are not flowing fully in a balanced harmonious fashion, and is what we now, as a society, refer to as stress.
 
These energy fields in each of us are interconnected and affected by everything in and around them. Intuition is paying close attention and listening to what our bodies are telling us as to  what is going on in and around us.  We must also pay close attention to the energies that we put forth in all situations, as well as receive from those we are connected to especially our children, spouses, lovers and parents.  This inter-connectedness is varied by the conscious attention the individual gives to any given influence or specific situation.  When information appears from various hidden sources this is the interaction of the upper two Chakras and may not be directly perceived by the person who is generally more aware of their lower Chakra energies.


A description of the  elements of energy and interaction to each Chakra;


7th:  Crown Chakra;  Located at the top of the head and is the energetic connection to spiritual/cosmic consciousness, wisdom, aspirations and knowledge of truth.  Here the human being connects with the universe.  The individual experiences knowledge beyond words or intellect.  For those who see Auras its color is clear light surrounded by ultra-violet, white or gold. The mantra associated with the 7th Chakra is HUM, tone Ee (as in bee) note: high b. Essential oils for aromatherapy include but are not limited to:  Lavender, Frankincense, Oakmoss, Lotus and Rose. Gem stones with 7th Chakra energy resonance include but are not limited to:  Amethyst, Crystal, Topaz, Alexandrite, Sapphire, Danburite, Llepidolite, Moldavite, and Iolite.


6th:  Brow (Third Eye) Chakra;  Located center of forehead just above and between the eyes, is the energetic connection to spiritual vision, intuition, thought, inner and outer sight, visions, dreams, sensitivity, perception, charisma, recognition of " being ". For those who see Auras its color is clear light surrounded by deep sea blue, or indigo. The mantra associated with the 6th Chakra is KSHAM, tone Mm or OM (as in home) note: high "a" . Essential oils for aromatherapy include but are not limited to:  Rose, Amber, Jasmine, Veviter, Basil, Patchouli, Rosemary and Sandalwood. Gem stones with 6th Chakra energy resonance include but are not limited to:  Sapphire, Azurite, Sugilite, Fluorite, Lapis Lazuli, Cerussite, Opal, Tourmalinated Quartz, Amethyst, Apache Tears, Iolite, Polyhedral Agate, Apophyllite, Labradorite, and Celestite.


5th:  Throat Chakra;  Located center of throat base and is the energetic connection to speech, reality checking, hearing, communication, self expression, intention, definition, description. For those who see Auras its color is clear light surrounded by indigo blue. The mantra associated with the 5th Chakra is HAM, tone U (as in blue) note: g #. Essential oils for aromatherapy include but are not limited to:  Lavender, Sandalwood, Neroli, Sage, Lilac, Patchouli, and Frankincense. Gem stones with 5th Chakra energy resonance include but are not limited to:  Amazonite, Turquoise, Pearl, Carnelian, Celestite, Jasper, Bloodstone, Aquamarine, Aventurine, Azurite, Chalcedony, Hematite, and Malachite.
 

4th:  Heart Chakra;  Located at center of upper chest and is the energy resonance for the balance of life and to our human-ness.  We are touched here; our heart, lungs and breath center here.  This is where emotions are processed to be allowed to be free of judgment so that they may be used as the source of pure energy and rise into the upper three Chakras and continue consciously the flow of life. For those who see Auras its color is a subtle radiant green. The mantra associated with the 4th Chakra is YAM, tone A (as in ah) note: f #. Essential oils for aromatherapy include but are not limited to:  Geranium, Bergamot, Rose, Jasmine, Clary Sage and Amber. Gem stones with 4th Chakra energy resonance include but are not limited to:  Emerald, Jade, Plume Agate, Rutillated Quartz, Apophyllite, Ruby, Chrysocolla/Gem Silica, Chrysoprase and Rhodochrosite.


3rd:  Solar Plexus Chakra;  Located at between the sternum (breast bone) and the navel, it is the energy resonance for the power of accomplishments, will, ego projections, vital energies, control, and your freedom to be who your truly are.  This is where emotions begin transiting into becoming free of self judgment allowing them to continue consciously into the heart Chakra upward flow.  Here is where we begin to intensely transform food into a form for our physical bodies to use.  This also is the lower lungs and breath motion centers here. For those who see Auras its color is yellow. The mantra associated with the 3rd Chakra is RAM, tone a-o-m (ahh-oo-mmm) note: e. Essential oils for aromatherapy include but are not limited to:  Mint (especially Peppermint), Bougainvillea, Frangipani, Ylang-Ylang, Cedar, Clove, Chamomile, Lemon and Thyme. Gem stones with 3rd Chakra energy resonance include but are not limited to:  Calcite, Laguna Agate, Golden Citrine, Amber, Desert Rose, Yellow Flourite, Labradorite, Howlite, Jasper, Tiger Eye, Chalcedony, Morganite, and Heliodor.


2nd:  Chakra of the Sacrum; or also referred to as the Navel Chakra;  Located at sex organs (genitals), the energy resonance for the power of emotions, sexuality, erotic energy, creativity, anger, fear instinct to nurture, spleen, intuitive "KNOWING" and perceptions concerning people, places, things, especially sex, design and food.  Here is also where we begin to intensely transform food into a form our physical bodies have been trained to use.  This area also effects the lower lungs and breath motion center.  This is where emotions begin transitioning into becoming free of self judgment allowing them to continue consciously into the Heart Chakra upward flow. For those who see Auras its color is orange. The mantra associated with the 2nd Chakra is VAM, tone O (as in home) note: d. Essential oils for aromatherapy include but are not limited to:  Sandalwood, Petit grain, Ylang-Ylang, Musk, Hyacinth, Bergamot, Coriander, Honeysuckle, and Patchouli. Gem stones with 2nd Chakra energy resonance include but are not limited to:  Pietersite, Opal, Fire Agate, Rose Quartz, Actinolite in Quartz, Carnelian, Moonstone and Tourmaline.


1st:  Chakra of the coccyx (tail bone) also referred to as the Base, or Root Chakra;  Located at base of the spine, and pointing downwards. Energy resonance for the power of ontological knowing, connection, grounding, place, presence.  Here is beginning and ending of energy flow (cycling), connectedness to this physical life, where we move remnants of biological processes and digested food into form our physical bodies have been trained to eliminate and allow space for more. Essential oils for aromatherapy include but are not limited to:  Cedar, Clove, Cypress, Ginger, Curry, Magnolia,  Marjoram, Myrrh, Lotus, Pine, Musk, and Vetiver. Gem stones with 1st Chakra energy resonance include but are not limited to:  Flame Agate, Ruby, Rubelite, Carnelian, Red Jasper, Garnet, Smoky Quartz, Bloodstone, Lapis Lazuli, and Azurite.

Acupressure & Energy Meridians
 
Acupressure and Energy Meridian work is so complex that I couldn't even begin to include it all here, as it is volumes of material.  Meridians are a network of energetic pathways, which pass through the organs and tissues of the body.  Electromagnetic energy flows through each meridian and its associated organs and tissues.  The Chinese call this energy Qi (pronounced chi).
 
Meridian Balancing helps to assess appropriate ways to achieve an energetic balance within the body.  The primary objective of Meridian Balancing is to detect the patterns of stress within the body's tissues and organs, and to help restore stressed and/or weakened meridians to an appropriate balance.  Our bodies act as communication devices, we are constantly receiving and transmitting information coded into energy signals.  Imbalances have their roots in the energetic system.  If energetic imbalances are determined and various modalities are performed that balance those areas, the body’s own systems can be stimulated to resolve the imbalances.  Meridian Balancing does not diagnose, cure, or treat disease.

Craniosacral Therapy:  A gentle hands on therapy, that uses the wave-like motion of the spinal fluid to detect and facilitate the release of restrictions in the body tissues wherever they may occur.  Spinal fluid, as it is created and pumped through the brain and spinal cord, generates a wave-like motion, or pulsation, which is felt throughout the entire body similar to the heartbeat and respiration, but much more subtle.  Wherever the wave, or flow is not perceived fully, signals the therapist that there is a restriction which, if not relieved will eventually produce symptoms with-in the body.  Once restrictions are detected, and with a minute amount of guidance from the therapist, the body will attempt to restore balance.  Often relief can be perceived in one session, or it may take several depending on the nature of the problem and the rate of speed at which the individual heals, this varies from person to person.  The energetic impact of various traumas that have occurred in your life, if not released from the body immediately, or soon afterward, will remain trapped in the body's tissues.

Polarity Therapy:  The incredible new paradigm of energy healing.  When we are truly well, our bodies vibrate vitality and our thoughts and emotions are in alignment with our soul's truth.  Polarity Therapy is based on the premise that we are fields of pulsating life energy made up of specific frequencies known as the five elements: Ether, Air, Fire, Water and Earth.  Each element relates and flows in a balance of positive and negative attractions arising from a neutral center.  When our thoughts, emotions, and physical body are out of alignment, an energy imbalance results.  An ongoing and dynamic balance of life energy is our foundation for health and well-being.  Polarity bodywork involves gentle rocking, stretching, and pressure-sensitive touch based on energy flow.  The goal of Polarity Therapy is to realign and unite mind, body, spirit, and emotions into harmony and vibrant health.
