FAQ'S

Some general information and answers to most frequently asked questions.

Appointments are scheduled Sunday thru Saturday, from 9 AM till 7 PM.

All U.S. Major Holidays are observed, and no appointments may be scheduled on Major Holidays.

Prior to any treatment please shower or bathe.  Remove all jewelry, and pull long hair up in a clip or restraint.

As a rule, most treatments are given while you are unclothed, unless otherwise noted.

The therapist provides a top/bottom sheet and/or towels/blanket, depending on type of treatment.

Conservative draping is performed at all times, depending on the type of treatment given.

MODESTY and COMFORT LEVELS vary from person to person.

You may choose to wear undergarments, a swim suit, or nothing at all.

The therapist is not liable for staining or any damage to clothing articles worn during massage/bodywork/spa treatments, from the use or application of spa treatment products, oils or lotions.

This is your treatment and you should feel as comfortable as possible.

During your treatment, you may want to give therapist feedback as to pressure (deeper or lighter) or point out painful or ticklish areas of your body.

Feel free to ask therapist any questions as to the treatment, or procedure they are using.

Generally as a rule, the therapist will not engage in conversation with you unless it is necessary as to comfort or treatment procedures, or unless asked a question by you in regard to the treatment.

Your relaxation and enjoyment of your treatment is what is important.

Understand that you should drink plenty of water following your treatment, as your body is flushing out toxins.

Avoid alcohol if possible.

A temporary change in bowel movements and/or urine color or odor are normal.  This is a good sign as your body is cleansing itself of toxins.

Patches of red spots or slight rashes are normal as these areas of the skin have more toxins to release.  These usually subside with-in 24 hours.

If you must bathe after your service, avoid soaps and rinse off in warm water only.  Most of the spa treatments continue to work for 12 to 24 hours after service.

Relax and enjoy your day after service as your body will undergo some changes, if possible take a nap or retire early in the evening.

The body needs time to rest and complete its rejuvenation process.  Most of all, enjoy your body's feelings of new revitalization.

Some of the treatments available are not recommended during pregnancy, for people with high blood pressure, if you are allergic to iodine or shellfish, or are known to have specific allergies to plant based products, lotions or oils.

You will be required to fill out a client intake form prior to any service, to assess if treatments chosen are appropriate for you.  A substitute treatment may be suggested depending on any specific health conditions known that may exist.

If you have a specific medical condition or specific symptoms, massage/bodywork/spa treatments may be contraindicated.  A referral from your primary care provider may be required prior to service being provided.

You understand that the massage/bodywork/spa treatments you receive, are provided for the basic purpose of relaxation and relief of muscular tension.  If you experience any pain or discomfort during your session, you will immediately inform the therapist so that the pressure and/or strokes, or procedure, may be adjusted to your level of comfort.

Further understand that massage/bodywork/spa treatments should not be construed as a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis or treatment, and that you should consult a physician, chiropractor, or other qualified medical specialist, for any mental or physical ailment that you are aware of.

Understand that massage/bodywork/spa treatments therapists are not to perform spinal or skeletal adjustments, diagnosis, prescribe, or treat any physical or mental illness, and nothing said in the course of the session given, should be construed as such.

The therapist is a licensed and educated professional, who upholds strict professional and ethical standards.  Any illicit or sexually suggestive remarks or advances made, will result in immediate termination of service, and you will be liable for full payment of the scheduled appointment fee.

No massage/bodywork/spa treatments will be performed on any person under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.
